Objective
- To increase awareness on Unclaimed Moneys Act 1965 (Act 370) among individuals, companies and firms;
- To increase enforcement of Unclaimed Moneys Act 1965 (Act 370) on companies and firms;
- To ensure and enhance Unclaimed Moneys management system efficiency and effectiveness; and
- To efficiently and accurately execute Unclaimed Moneys refund process to rightful beneficial owner.
Client Charter
- To issue Declaration of Unclaimed Moneys Inspection to the inspected company within 5 working days from the date of inspection.
- To process the reimbursement of unclaimed moneys within 30 days upon receipt of a complete application.
- To issue letter of confirmation on the proceeds from sale of securities or dividends thereof within 14 calendar days from receipt of the application.
Function
- To enforce Unclaimed Moneys Act 1995 (Act 370).
- To coordinate consulting services regarding Unclaimed Moneys and Unclaimed Securities.
- To manage submission of Unclaimed Moneys.
- To manage submission and refund of Unclaimed Moneys.
- To manage Unclaimed Securities.
- To manage general administration, personnel services and finance.
