Services Depository Account of the Ministry of Finance (CDS-MOF)

The establishment of CDS MOF on 1 June 1999 is aimed at receiving securities data crediting of members of the public who fail to deposit into their CDS accounts within the specified period.

  • Securities Industry Act (Central Depositories) (Amendment) (No.2) 1998 (SICDA)

    Section 14
    This section is in relation to stocks of new companies being floated in Bursa Malaysia.

    Section 29
    This section is in relation to stocks that were never deposited by the beneficial owner into his/her CDS account before / on 30 November 1998.

    Section 30
    This section is in relation to stocks that could not be traced by the original owner.

  • Bonus

    Any securities in the CDS MOF account that have acquired stocks will be directly credited into the CDS MOF account. The Securities Management section will identify each certificate eligible for the said bonus and will be credited directly into the applicant’s CDS account together with the parent stock.

  • Dividends / Interest

    Dividends / Interest that derive from any securities in the CDS MOF Account will be distributed and paid to the applicant who has recovered his / her stocks and entitled to receive the said dividend. The remaining unclaimed dividends / interest will be delivered to the Registrar of Unclaimed Money.
